Launchpad: Onboarding for Operators Who Move Fast
We're introducing Avoca Launchpad, a new onboarding experience that gets home service operators from sign-up to a live, booking-ready AI CSR in a single sitting.
Why we built it
An AI CSR only starts paying off once it’s live. For home service operators, that timeline is critical: a missed call is a missed job, and every week spent onboarding is a week of jobs going to whoever picks up the phone first.
Launchpad is built to close that gap. It’s a single place to give an agent the knowledge it needs to start booking jobs, without weeks of back-and-forth with an implementation team. Getting live fast matters for two reasons:
- Every day offline is a day of missed calls.
- The sooner an agent is live, the sooner an operator can start tuning it against real ones.
How Launchpad works
Launchpad walks operators through a few steps to get their agent a live phone number customers can call.

- Fill out a knowledge base. Give the agent the details it needs to understand the business and book the right jobs: company basics, services, policies, caller types, programs, FAQs.
- Connect ServiceTitan. Import capacity, job types, business units, and service areas directly from ServiceTitan, then review and confirm.
- Meet the agent. Get a real phone number and a dedicated Implementation Manager who tests critical workflows before going live.
Most contractors complete their agent in under two hours.
“Given the complexity of the task, I figured it would require a lot of hand-holding, but I was surprised at how intuitive and self-serve it was.” — Eric Lerner, Gladiator Services
Avo, an assistant for every step
Every step in Launchpad comes with Avo, Avoca’s built-in assistant, on hand.

Operators can ask what to call a trip fee, how detailed a service description should be, or what makes a good callback message, and get an answer trained on hundreds of live deployments.
What this looked like for two operators
Cheeky Heating, Cooling & Plumbing
Cheeky Heating, Cooling & Plumbing came to Avoca with a booking rate that had slipped from roughly 85–90% down to 40%, mostly from misclassified calls. Their need was immediate.
- Location: Cumming, GA
- Vertical: HVAC, cooling & plumbing
- Time to go live: 3–4 days
- Goal: Stop dropping calls, fix the booking rate, and add outbound follow-up for unsold estimates and memberships once live.
They launched while still finishing a CRM migration, and neither slowed the other down.
“There wasn’t much I didn’t like. Just a few tweaks here and there.” — Amie Leathers, Cheeky Heating, Cooling & Plumbing
Quality Water Systems
Quality Water Systems is a two-person team where a missed call could mean a lost no-water emergency. Before Avoca, that meant an answering service that took a message and hoped someone would call back in time.
- Location: Salem
- Vertical: Water treatment
- Time to go live: 7 days
- Goal: Catch every call when the office couldn’t pick up, book jobs straight onto the schedule, and get no-water emergencies handled fast.
Now calls get answered and booked the same day, no message, no waiting.
“This is probably the most important part of the platform, is the onboarding.” — Quality Water Systems
Why it matters
Going live fast is easy to measure. Getting the agent right is what actually matters, and that takes longer than a launch week.
Both teams have continued to iterate well past go-live: tuning call handling, testing voice, rolling out outbound. Launch fast, then keep tuning against real calls until the agent does exactly what the business needs.
